…and through the Woods

I made the “Forest Light” mosaic (see last post) pretty quickly, so I decided to make another small woodland mosaic. This time I wanted to introduce a sense of depth.

This is “Morning haze in the Woods”. It  took me 6 hours, which is quick for a mosaic!

Just like “Forest Light” I have used a simple method using diagonal cuts for the tree trunks and block backgrounds. I first used this method for a piece I used in 2008 – “Silver Birch Trees at Sunset”.

If you like trees and forests then please visit the International Year of the Forest mosaic exhibition.
